ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a contract-to-hire opportunity. In this role, you will lead IT projects within a backend Agile tower, guiding teams through the Agile process to ensure alignment with goals, timely delivery, and quality outcomes. You will partner with cross-functional teams including developers, QA specialists, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to drive successful execution of critical projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and document project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and resource allocations
- Monitor project progress and provide updates, risk assessments, and issue resolution strategies
- Lead Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to manage and prioritize the product backlog
- Identify and remove impediments or escalate as needed to maintain momentum
- Coordinate with other Agile towers to manage dependencies and ensure alignment across initiatives
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to support project success
- Develop knowledge of the retail energy industry and understand the impact of regulatory requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3 years of experience managing IT projects with a focus on software development or backend systems
- 3 years of experience working in an Agile environment
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Microsoft Project
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in the retail energy industry
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise projects
- Knowledge of database systems and APIs
