Their clients typically have investable assets ranging from $2 million to $10 million, and the firm advises more than 450 client families on financial planning, investments, retirement planning, and wealth management.
To better serve their clients, the firm is expanding its tax services practice and is seeking an experienced Tax Senior Manager to lead tax planning, compliance, and advisory services.
This is not a traditional public accounting role.
There are no billable hour requirements, no business development expectations, and no pressure to build a book of business. Client relationships are established by the firm’s wealth advisors, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional tax advice while enjoying a sustainable work-life balance.
Position Summary
The Tax Senior Manager will serve as the lead tax professional for a growing private client tax practice. This individual will partner closely with wealth advisors and clients to provide tax planning, tax compliance, and strategic advisory services for privately held business owners, their companies, and family groups.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review complex individual, trust, partnership, S corporation, and corporate tax returns.
- Provide proactive tax planning for business owners, executives, and high-net-worth families.
- Serve as a trusted tax advisor to clients.
- Collaborate with wealth advisors to integrate tax strategies into clients’ overall financial plans.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies.
- Coordinate with clients, attorneys, CPAs, and other professional advisors.
- Research complex tax issues and communicate recommendations clearly.
- Assist in developing tax processes, procedures, and best practices.
- Mentor and support future tax team members as the practice continues to grow.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Qualifications
- Active CPA license required.
- 8 years of tax experience, preferably in public accounting.

- Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and individual taxation.
- Strong tax planning and advisory experience.
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with an interest in helping build a growing tax practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving business owners and high-net-worth families.
- Experience reviewing complex tax returns and leading tax engagements.
- Background in family office, wealth management, or private client services.
- Experience managing an independent tax practice or client portfolio.
