Senior Tax Accountant
Uptown Dallas, TX | Hybrid – 2 Days Remote
We are working with an established Real Estate Investment Firm in Uptown Dallas that is adding a Senior Tax Accountant to its in-house tax team.
This role offers an unusually strong work/life balance for tax, with consistent 40-hour work weeks, no weekends and only three overtime days worked by the team in all of 2025.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal and multi-state income tax returns for partnerships and corporations
- Prepare tax projections and calculate estimated tax payments
- Prepare and review tax workpapers, including book-to-tax differences, state apportionment, debt allocation and K-2/K-3 reporting
- Prepare fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
- Assist with federal and state tax notices and examinations
- Coordinate with the outsourced tax team, including workflow management, quality control and timely completion of deliverables
- Research federal and state tax matters, including real estate and construction-related issues
- Assist with tax planning and other projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of tax experience in public accounting or industry
- Partnership tax experience required; real estate partnership experience is helpful but not required
- CPA or CPA eligible preferred
- Experience with tax preparation software; CCH Axcess experience is a plus
- Strong Excel skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and consistently deliver work on time
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative, dependable and comfortable working as part of a small team
