Overview

As a Convention Services Houseperson, you play a critical role in upholding these standards by representing our brand at its best. This position is responsible for providing event set-up and breakdown support, preparing and servicing stations, and maintaining organized supply and storage areas. Your ability to deliver seamless, behind-the-scenes support—without disrupting the guest experience—has a direct impact on overall guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, event set-up costs (including wait staff performance), and our guests’ intent to return.
Schedule Requirements
The position includes morning and afternoon/evening shifts with regular weekend attendance.
Due to the cyclical nature of hospitality, flexibility is required to meet business needs. Participation in “all hands” events may be necessary.
The hotel operates 24/7, including holidays. The company strives to support work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Set-up and breakdown of tables, chairs, linens, meeting supplies, water, glassware, dishes.
- Coordinate daily schedule of set-up, refreshments and breakdown of rooms.
- Coordinate linen requirements with laundry operation.
- Maintain storage areas in an orderly and safe fashion.
- Provide cleaning of rooms, to include shampooing as required.
- Maintain all service areas in a clean and safe manner.
- Deliver guest requested services and product as directed for Banquet Management.
- Perform cleaning functions on a regularly scheduled basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Convention Services or Banquet Managers.
- Responsible for practicing, managing and promoting our Mission and Values so that it becomes an intricate part of the everyday operation.

Qualifications
Experience:
- Hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent preferred.
Language Skills:
- Fluency of the English language is strongly preferred.
- Ability to understand and compose instructions, memos, and short correspondence.
