Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Linux Systems Administrator to join our team in Chantilly, VA
Clearance
- Active TS/SCI W/ CI Polygraph (existing clearance required to start)
- Chantilly, VA
- Configure and maintain Linux-based servers and support the development, testing, and production hosting of custom enterprise business applications on behalf of a Government customer
- Contribute to application and database migration activities
- Develop scripts for automation of build-out, maintenance, and configuration of virtualized systems
- Deploy updates, IAVA patches, and Anti-Virus updates
- Maintain web application hosting systems including web servers, database servers, and associated development systems (e.g., Team Foundation Server)
- Ensure system reliability and uptime of production applications by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health
- Support system configuration management in accordance with contract inventory and customer requirements
- Create, update, and maintain technical documentation including process diagrams, standard operating procedures, and system documentation
- Coordinate with customer ISSE to ensure security accreditation of all project IT systems, including writing documentation and plans to comply with ICD 503 and customer-specific security requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and communications problems
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Fedora, Scientific Linux, Debian, Amazon L2)
- Experience with system patching, hardening, and STIGing
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS, Amazon Fargate, Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher, OpenShift or Hashicorp.
- IAT Level 2 Certification or higher
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) (C2S) systems administration
- Ability to manage multiple priority tasks
- Proactive in identifying and initiating tasks
- Strong time management skills
- Availability to work hours from 7am – 3pm
- Knowledge of Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
- AWS Certification (AWS Solutions Architect – Associate or AWS SysOps)
- Experience deploying AWS features (Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancer, CloudWatch, Lambda, Elastic Container Service)
- Familiarity with scripting tools (PowerShell, JSON, BASH, and Python)
- Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server
- Understanding of ICD 503 security compliance requirements
