The Clinical Director at Seamark Ranch is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the delivery of evidence-based, trauma-informed mental health services to children and families in a residential care setting. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Oversight:
- Develop and review individualized service plans to ensure they are evidence-based, trauma-informed, and tailored to the needs of each child and family.
- Conduct clinical case consultations with staff to address complex cases, providing guidance rooted in trauma and attachment theory.
- Develop programs to support and educate foster/adoptive families and community partners on trauma-informed caregiving.
- Monitor the quality of care delivered by clinicians, identifying areas for improvement and providing constructive feedback.
- Ongoing Professional Development: Regular engagement in professional development to stay updated on clinical practices, supervision techniques, and ethical standards.
Staff Management:
- Assess for hiring purposes, train, and mentor clinical staff, emphasizing professional development and alignment with Seamark Ranch’s values.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide supportive feedback to foster growth and accountability.
- Address staff concerns promptly and cultivate a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for both residential and community mental health programs.
Program Oversight:
- Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect best practices and are responsive to the needs of children with trauma histories.
- Monitor program effectiveness through data collection and analysis, using insights to inform continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal mental health regulations, licensing standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with house parents, educators, equine staff, and other departments to provide integrated, comprehensive care.
- Lead crisis response efforts, ensuring appropriate intervention strategies for children experiencing acute distress.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage the mental health program budget, ensuring effective use of resources to meet clinical goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including referral sources, community organizations, and potential funding partners.
- Establish a network of trusted healthcare providers within the community to manage the physical health needs and medication management for residents.
- Represent Seamark Ranch in outreach and fundraising efforts, promoting the mental health program’s impact on the community.
Required Qualifications:
- A Master's degree or higher in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or a related field.
- Qualified Supervisor certification.
- Licensed Mental Health Professional with significant experience working with children and families impacted by trauma.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in developing and implementing clinical programs, preferably in residential or community-based settings.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to upholding Seamark Ranch’s faith-based mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in residential care or faith-based mental health programs.
- Familiarity with adoption and the foster care system, trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI).
- Experience supervising interns and/or mental health providers.
