What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Cheerleading Coach position at SEAMAN HIGH SCHOOL?
Seaman High School is accepting applications for a Head Cheerleading Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. As the leader of the SHS staff, applicants must be able to:
- Instruct and facilitate cheers and stunts for sidelines, halftimes, and competitions
- Provide an environment welcoming to all cheerleaders
- Promote and provide the highest possible level of safety protocols
- Communicate with cheer squad and parents in various mediums
- Be proactive in selecting cheerleaders during tryouts
- Must be able to handle any problems within the cheerleading squad and assign appropriate discipline measures
- Create practice schedules/calendar of events
- Help the Spirit Club with pep assemblies (organization and performances)
- Supervise the cheerleaders during practices, pep assemblies, activities and contests
- Provide arrangements for cheerleading camps and contests
- Leading the team with conditioning and strength training
- Host the end of the season banquet
- Assumes any other duties as assigned by the activities director.
