Position Overview:
SealingTech is looking for an experienced and talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Products Team. In this high-impact role, you will serve as the technical lead for our portfolio of three software products designed for cybersecurity fly-away kits used in Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO).

You will drive the technical approach, architecture, and execution across a diverse stack, leading the engineering efforts for products including kit deployment automation, fleet management, and AI orchestration. These products are in active, rapid development, adapting to new and challenging production environments. You will be a hands-on leader, architecting new capabilities, guiding teams to adopt cutting-edge practices in AI and rapid prototyping, and ensuring delivery of a robust, secure, and mission-ready portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering direction and execution across multiple products at various stages of the SDLC, from prototype to production.
• Lead the team in rapidly prototyping new capabilities to meet evolving mission requirements while maintaining codebases for long-term stability and security.
• Train and mentor engineering teams, championing the adoption of AI-assisted coding practices to increase developer velocity and quality.
• Partner with product managers and customers to translate complex mission requirements into actionable technical user stories and architectural roadmaps.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• US Citizenship
• 8 years of professional software engineering experience, with specific experience leading engineering teams across multiple products.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Strong full-stack proficiency in both backend (Python, Node.js) and frontend frameworks (Vue, React).
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying containerized software applications, especially transitioning single-tenant/local applications into multi-tenant SaaS products.
• Experience building cloud-native data pipelines, warehousing, and visualization systems for telemetry or metrics analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly build and iterate on proofs-of-concept to validate technical approaches.
• Proven experience training and mentoring engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous growth.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in cybersecurity, either security product development and/or security operations tools like Elastic, Splunk, Security Onion, etc.
• Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) integration, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architecture, and agent-based system design.
• Experience using Ansible for complex infrastructure deployment.
• Experience building software for Federal/DoD environments, specifically dealing with air-gapped networks, system hardening/STIG compliance, and GovCloud architectures.
• Experience integrating AI coding tools into engineering workflows to enhance productivity.

Salary : $152,000 - $186,000
