Electronics Technician (Senior)
Overview

Reporting Relationship
The position will report to the Director of Operations.
Objectives and Responsibilities
The Electronics Technician is in an electronics manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for working with tested and failed circuit boards, performing functional tests on all required boards, and then repairing boards at a component level via the schematic and technical diagnosis. This role mentors and trains Junior Repair Technicians and oversees the RMA process.
- Repair failed circuit boards, ranging from basic serial Input/Output to complex main processor expansion boards.
- Inspect circuit boards for damage and sort according to results.
- Troubleshoot boards using standard electrical tools such as an Oscilloscope and DVM.
- Input customer returns into the Returns Merchandise Authorization Database.
- Unpack and organize customer returns.
- Work with team members and management to ensure projects are completed to standard.
- Ensure all Applicable ICP standards are maintained during RMA process.
- Provide mentoring and direction to Junior Repair Technicians.
- Audit RMA database for discrepancies.
- Provide feedback on PCB design.
- Perform any other work- related duties that may be assigned.

This person must be competent in:
- Reading schematics.
- Have excellent technical, diagnostics, and troubleshooting skills.
- Requires experience in using a multimeter and oscilloscope.
- Soldering skills - through hole and surface mount.
- Experience using air soldering by hand.
- Experience in digital and analog circuitry.
- Basic programming skills to know how the circuits and boards work.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills.
Style
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Excellent technical, diagnostics, and troubleshooting skills.
- Have soldering skills - through hole and surface mount.
- Experience in digital and analog circuitry.
Previous Experience
- Prefer a 2 -year technical degree in electronics, but will consider prior relevant experience (5 plus years) in an electronic manufacturing, military, or similar electronics repair environments.
- 5 years of experience in various types of circuit boards from simple Input/Output to complex main processor expansion boards.
- Have excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Verifiable training and experience using a multimeter and oscilloscope.
- Have soldering skills - through hole and surface mount.
- Experience in digital and analog circuitry.
- Ability to lift and transport up to 40 pounds.
- Requires good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to read and understand oral and written instruction.
- Must maintain a high level of quality and professionalism.
- Outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
