Position Overview
Join our team as a Production Team Lead where you'll oversee all production areas, including Molding, Assembly, Secondary Operations, and Warehouse operations. This leadership role requires hands-on management with 60% minimum floor presence, directly supervising department teams while reporting to the Production Manager.
Schedule & Compensation
Work Schedule: Day Shift (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM)
Rotation Pattern: 2/2/3 rotating schedule
Base Compensation: $27.00 per hour
Shift Differential: Additional $0.50 per hour
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Safety Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Implement and enforce Liquibox safety protocols and standards across all production areas
Conduct regular safety audits and provide necessary training/retraining to maintain compliance
Maintain 5S standards and proper housekeeping procedures throughout production areas
Serve as an active member of the facility Safety Committee
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety metrics
Quality Assurance Management
Oversee shift product quality and ensure proper documentation completion
Verify production start-up procedures and process sign-offs
Respond to and address Corrective Action Requests (CARs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCARs), and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
Implement quality control measures to maintain product specifications
Team Leadership & Personnel Management
Direct shift workload distribution and ensure appropriate production coverage
Process bi-weekly electronic timecard approvals for all shift personnel
Manage PTO scheduling for team members
Address performance issues and document disciplinary actions according to company policy
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide developmental feedback
Train and mentor production staff to improve operational efficiency
Operational Excellence
Participate in strategic growth and development planning for molding/assembly areas
Implement waste reduction initiatives to decrease scrap rates
Drive productivity and efficiency improvements across all production departments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes
Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance technical and leadership skills

Experience and Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum 1-2 years of manufacturing experience
Demonstrated leadership experience in production environments
Experience in one or more areas: Assembly, Injection Molding, Quality Control, Material Handling, or Warehouse Operations
Basic computer proficiency with manufacturing software
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field
OSHA safety certification
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Yellow/Green Belt)
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Knowledge of plastic manufacturing processes
Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems
