Position Summary:
Responsibilities include operating the mill/ lathe (manual/CNC) to produce machined parts in line with prints GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Calibration of tools and equipment to ensure equipment stay within the work parameters. Setup and trouble shooting fixturing, CNC code, and PMs of equipment.
Pay rate: $28/hr
Shift: Afternoon
Responsibilities:
* Work adhering to all safety policies and procedures always
* Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches
* Calculate dimensions and tolerances using basic mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers
* Verify settings by adhering to blueprint specifications and international standards
* Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, milling, and cutting
* (This includes turning, facing, knurling and internal/external threading, and manual esthetics to meet quality expectations)
* Understanding of G and M Codes
* Ability to adjust adhering to print specifications
* Detect malfunctions and troubleshoot
* Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
* Accomplish organization goals by exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
* Other duties as assigned
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Completion of a certification program for machining is preferred
* Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
* Ability to multi-task
* Basic computer skills
* SAP experience preferred
* Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
* Minimum of 2 year of machining experience
* Experienced in operation of hand grinders (pads, disc, belt)
* Experienced in operation of pedestal grinder
* Experienced in operation manual vertical mills
* Experienced in operation manual lathe
* Experienced in CNC vertical or horizontal mills
* Experienced in CNC lathe
* Knowledge of Basic CNC M-code & G-code
