Position Summary

The Shipping/Receiving Associate verifies and keeps accurate records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares products for shipment while maintaining quality and productivity standards. Employee will work individually and as a team to pull, stage, load, and unload shipments. This job will require the employee to work in all areas of the warehouse.

Job Description

• Operates and maintains forklifts in a safe manner to load and unload trailers
• Stores finished and raw materials in storage racks
• Fills out all paperwork and inventory tracking documents necessary for shipping, receiving, and
  
  

accurate inventory control

• Manage FIFO product management independently without error
• Palletizes, wraps, and processes for shipment of all outgoing products
• Pull pick lists for shipments
• Setup and stage LTL orders
• Call LTL carriers for pickups
• Yard Jockey; moving trailers around the yard
• Knows and adheres to all safety rules and procedures
• Performs housekeeping duties as necessary to support 6S
• Participation in setting and achieving team goals in productivity, Quality, Environmental Health and Safety, and material usage
• Perform other tasks as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Demonstrated Yard Jockey experience; 1 year preferred
• Demonstrated forklift driving experience (electric); 1 year preferred
• Experience working in a warehouse environment; 1 year preferred
• Prior experience processing Shipping documents a plus
• Ability to work in a high-speed, fast-paced production environment
• Availability to work overtime when needed
• Display a teamwork mentality, work well with others, and actively participate in the Shipping
  
  

and Receiving Team

• Outstanding attention to detail
  
  

Education

• Education: HS Diploma/GED
  
  

OR

• 1 year of factory-related work experience in-lieu of HSD/GED
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift to 30 lbs.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts, overtime, and weekends
• Must be able to get in and out of trucks: Reaching, pulling, large steps, twisting
• Must be able to perform repetitive assembly using hands and arms which includes bending,
  
  

reaching, and stretching.
