Job Description
As a Maintenance Tech Scholar at Sealed Air, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting advanced machinery and equipment. This role is designed for candidates who are passionate about mechatronics and are eager to apply their knowledge in a real-world manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Document maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment manuals.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge in mechatronics.
- Currently enrolled in a Mechatronics program or similar technical field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Previous experience or coursework in maintenance or related field is a plus.
- Sealed Air will pay for all tuition expenses related to the Mechatronics program.
- Flexible part-time work schedule to accommodate school commitments.
- Starting pay of $19 per hour.
- Upon graduation, eligible for consideration for full-time roles starting at $30 per hour.
