Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Supervisory

Job Summary:
Serve as a regional Project Manager on a diverse set of national security-related projects.  This position oversees efforts involving the design, acquisition, shipment, implementation, testing, and handover of radiation detection equipment and counter nuclear smuggling systems in close cooperation with NNSA, U.S. national laboratories, and international partners. These projects aim to deter, detect and investigate the illicit trafficking of nuclear and radiological materials at land border crossings, seaports and airports worldwide.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
•    Assist with recruiting, hiring, training and retaining staff within the business unit.
•    Direct and oversee the workflow of the business unit.
•    Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.  
•    Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy. 

Duties/Responsibilities:
•    Lead comprehensive project planning, including the development of the project scope, staffing plans, estimates of effort and detailed schedules. Lead the development of technical and financial proposals for new work in the assigned region.
•    Identify and appropriately escalate risks, issues, and changes associated with projects to the SRS General Manager.
•    Provide coordination and oversight of international logistics, including shipping, export control, customs clearance, property transfer and VAT exemption.  
•    Plan, manage, and execute milestone reviews, deliverable assessments, and decision-gate processes to complete the project life cycle.  Ensure required deliverables are produced and reviewed, including the technical leadership of requirements management, design, implementation, system integration, verification, test, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainment of the technical solution.
•    Review and assess the progress and financial performance of assigned projects monthly or more frequently as needed. Coordinate and implement resource assignments, production methods, or other factors to achieve and maintain operational efficiency and profitability. Attend and actively participate in project-specific financial update meetings for each project.
•    Participate in business development activities, including performing market research, the development of proposals, and engaging with prospective new clients.
•    Support the GM in recruiting, hiring, training and retaining staff within the business unit. 
•    Serve as a supervisor to more junior project managers and other staff to increase capabilities within the company. Provide input to the GM regarding functional areas where resources are lacking. 
•    Communicate openly and frequently with clients throughout the project to address issues quickly and efficiently. Prepare, conduct and document all progress reviews and other meetings as required.
•    Help develop and maintain a culture of operational discipline, prioritizing goals and deadlines with clients and others throughout the organization. Meet all administrative requirements and requests established by the company on the dates specified (e.g., timesheet submission, invoice preparation and submission, training, report submission and other corporate directives, etc.).
•    Provide process improvement recommendations and proactively capture and share lessons learned based on best practices, industry standards, and field experiences.
•    Perform other related duties assigned to support evolving workload demands.

Required Skills/Abilities: 
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate and work proactively with international stakeholders, requiring strong skills of diplomacy and experience with cultural sensitivity. 
•    Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), earned value management, DOE contracts, government contracting, and project management.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
•    Proficiency with broadly applied software, including Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills, and working knowledge of CostPoint.

Education and Experience:
•    Requires a bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, Construction Management or related field with at least 10-15 years of experience in the field or related area, or combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree is preferred but not a requirement of the position.  
•    Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) is required. 
•    Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.

•    Travel Requirements: Moderate travel will be required (up to 25%) to both domestic and international job sites, program meetings, and testing locations.  

•    Physical demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; bending or crouching; talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift/carry and/or move up to 25 pounds safely. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

•    Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions and other elements prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal.

Salary : $170,000 - $200,000
