What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Business Systems Software Developer position at Seakeeper Inc?
WHAT YOU’LL DO
As our Junior Business Systems Software Developer, you’ll be a shared resource throughout the organization supporting both Seakeeper Ride and Seakeeper business systems projects. By working closely with our Business Systems Software Developer, you’ll be responsible for the delivery and execution of the following types of Business Systems projects:
- Maintaining and optimizing custom-built solutions that come in the form of React Full-Stack Applications or SuiteScript stack (Clientscript, UserEvent, Suitelet, Restlet, Map/Reduce)
- Completing external forms/data collection to store data in NetSuite
- Creating custom/advanced reporting utilizing SQL where saved searches cannot fulfill business users needs
- Setting up our own custom integrations and API connections if the third-party tools allow
- Extending the use of Celigo or other ETL Integration tools if necessary
- Collaborating with 3rd party developers and vendors as needed
- Understanding internal stakeholder needs and communicating solutions effectively with the business systems team

MUST-HAVES
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar relevant field, strongly preferred
- Relevant experience, which can come in the form of previous work experience or strong and demonstrated collegiate experience (e.g. senior design project, intercollegiate club work, or personal hobbies) in the following:
- JavaScript fundamentals
- React fundamentals
- Git
- ERP System (Preferably NetSuite)
- Comfortable working in an agile manner
- Be operationally minded, possessing the foresight to understand how developed solutions impact interdepartmentally
- Be passionate about creating well-scoped out solutions with the understanding of when a business user should adapt to a system or when the system can be adapted to the business user
- A proven ability to build and maintain relationships internally while being responsive to communication and requests
- Be self-motivated with superior time management, multitasking, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Be results-driven and of unquestionable integrity
NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience with the following:
- SuiteScript 2.0 or higher
- React
- REST services
- CI/CD
- Bootstrap
- js
- Experience working in a hyper-growth mode environment
- Be flexible in your approach, willingness to pivot and adapt as business needs require it
- Experience working with enterprise software solutions
- Experience with highly complex application security requirements
- Experience working with Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence and Data Administration Teams
- B2C experience
