What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher / Porter position at SEAHORSE NYC?
Mercer Street Hospitality is hiring an AM or PM Dishwasher/Porter to join the opening team for an exciting new seafood concept at the W Union Square Hotel!
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Duties
❖ Washing all dishes and cooking equipment in a timely manner during and between restaurant services
❖ Clean cooking stations and equipment to help expedite service
❖ Clean and maintain FOH areas and curbside if requested by the supervisor
❖ Keep open communication with the BOH team and FOH team
❖ Maintain cleanliness of any BOH work areas, including but not limited to refrigeration,
cooking equipment, and prep areas.
❖ Participate in deep cleaning of BOH work areas, including but not limited to refrigeration,
cooking equipment, and prep areas
❖ Assist in other BOH areas as needed, including but not limited to basic food preparation.
Skills & Requirements
❖ Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-energy environment
❖ Must possess thoroughness and time management skills
❖ Able to take constructive criticism, learn quickly, and constantly improve
❖ Related experience preferred
