What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator position at SEAGA MANUFACTURING INC 1?
The Machine Operator position must perform tasks involving physical labor for operation and set up of the press brake, punch press and other various machines. May also operate other equipment including but not limited to hand power tools or other machinery. The operator will bend and shape metal components according to specifications for vending machines.
Responsibilities:
- Machine operators will be cross trained on CNC press brake machine and CNC punch press machines.
- Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
- Complete daily production logs and consistently reach daily quotas.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in fabrication.
- Ability to stand in one area for extended amount of time.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to all safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by Team Leader.
Qualifications:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience.
- Previous CNC press brake or CNC punch press experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to follow directions and be a self-starter.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and components.
- Ability to lift thirty pounds required.
- 6S experience is a plus.
- Other duties as assigned by Team Leader.
