Maintenance Technician

Seafood America, a high quality seafood manufacturer in Warminster, PA is seeking Maintenance Technicians for first and second shift. Both full time positions Monday thru Friday additional hours/days may be required according to business demands. Position for 1st Shift hours 8:30am-5:15pm; Position for 2nd shift hours 2:45pm-11:30pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
• Ability to repair equipment and refrigeration in a timely and through manner
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required
• Possesses mechanical, electrical and refrigeration troubleshooting skills
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. (Up to 480V, 3 Phase)
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment
• Possess basic fabrication skills
• Be self-motivated and work well unsupervised.
• Other duties may be assigned

Job Requirements:

• Refrigeration experience or training, industrial or commercial experience preferred
• Basic understanding and knowledge or electrical troubleshooting with voltages up to 480v 3 phase
• Basic plumbing knowledge or experience
• General Mechanical experience, industrial or commercial experience preferred
• Familiar with windows based computer programs
• Willingness to attain EPA Freon certification
• Participate in Process Safety Management program and follow all related procedures

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Universal License in refrigeration preferred
• Experience and ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Must have the knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools
• Ability to read, write, understand, and speak English
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have a current forklift license, or be able to obtain one within 90-days of hire
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
