SeaCrest OceanFront Hotel® is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Guest Services Agent to join our front desk team. In this role you will deliver exceptional guest experiences from arrival through departure, handling check-in/out procedures accurately and efficiently. This position may lead from part-time to full-time employment based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly welcome and check guests in and out using the property management system
- Assign rooms, issue keys, verify payment methods, and maintain accurate guest records
- Process payments and follow all cash-handling and credit policies
- Provide courteous, knowledgeable information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
- Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed
- Maintain up-to-date room status and communicate effectively with housekeeping and maintenance
- Answer phones promptly using proper etiquette; take and forward guest messages
- Process reservations accurately, noting special requests to ensure proper handling on arrival
- Keep the front desk area neat and organized; maintain uniform filing systems and guest records
- Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures and accident prevention policies
- Balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift and complete required reports
- Use sales techniques to promote rooms and other hotel services
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior hotel, front desk, or customer-service/cash-handling experience preferred
- Proficiency with computers and common office equipment (phone, PMS, fax, printer, credit card machine)
- A kind and courteous demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Reliable attendance and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
- Light work: standing continuously and walking occasionally for the entire shift
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to move objects
- Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse; near and far acuity (vision), hearing, and talking required
- Long hours may sometimes be required

Appearance Standards
SeaCrest provides a shirt and sweater upon hire. Team members wear black, white, or khaki pants, and a name tag is required at all times. Personal expression, such as colored hair, piercings, and tattoos, are welcome provided it remains non-offensive and the overall appearance is neat and professional.
