What are the responsibilities and job description for the Travel Speech Language Pathologist - Per Week position at Seacrest Behavioral Health?
Role: Travel Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations.
Key Duties: Develop and implement personalized therapy plans based on assessments, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments accordingly. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain detailed documentation, adhere to safety and infection control protocols, and participate in quality assurance and professional development activities.
Qualifications & Skills: Valid state licensure, current BLS certification, critical thinking, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in PC use. Physical ability to assist with equipment and patient mobility, strong motor skills, and the capacity to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Sensory abilities including visual acuity are required.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP certification, and experience in speech therapy. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
