Key Responsibilities
- Perform forensic nursing duties, including specimen collection and assessments related to STIs and trauma.
- Participate in peer reviews and ensure compliance with professional standards and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with hospital staff, law enforcement, and community programs.
- Attend courtroom proceedings related to cases.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
- Current Illinois RN licensure.
- Certified in SANE through the Illinois Attorney General or equivalent.
- Experience in forensic nursing is preferred.
- Computer literacy, especially with Epic, or willingness to train.
