Role: Provides direct patient care across all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinates patient activities with ancillary departments to ensure optimal care and comfort within the scope of nursing practice and established guidelines.
Responsibilities: Manages patients in a progressive care unit, primarily cardiac and respiratory cases, serving as a step down from ICU. Performs assessments, monitors patient status, and collaborates with healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment combining elements of ED and ICU. Ensures adherence to hospital standards, mission, and ethical guidelines.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate's, Diploma, or BSN). Holds an active RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Must meet state-specific licensing requirements.
Skills: Strong assessment skills, teamwork, adaptability to a high-acuity setting, and the ability to manage patients with cardiac, respiratory, septic, and other complex conditions. Experience in critical care or progressive care is preferred.
