Key Responsibilities
- Prepare equipment, supplies, and medications for procedures; ensure proper functioning and stock levels.
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments, including vital signs, allergies, and medical history.
- Establish IV access and administer conscious sedation, monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Assist during procedures and handle pathology specimens.
- Provide post-procedure care, monitoring, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain documentation, logs, and procedural records accurately.
- Assist with room turnover, specimen preparation, and follow-up calls.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including narcotic inventory management.
- Current RN license; BSN preferred.
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Minimum of two years RN experience; endoscopy or procedural nursing experience advantageous.
