Role: The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Multi-Modality) independently operates advanced imaging equipment, including PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and PET/MR, performing diagnostic nuclear medicine, CT, and MRI fusion procedures.

- Perform complex imaging procedures, including fusion imaging and injection of contrast agents, while recognizing allergic reactions and contraindications.
- Ensure safety by verifying and maintaining equipment calibration, conducting quality control, and following radiation safety protocols aligned with ALARA principles.
- Troubleshoot and repair PET/CT and PET/MR systems, optimizing image quality and protocol adjustments based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians and staff to enhance patient care and educate referring providers on study appropriateness and preparation.
- Manage radioactive materials in compliance with NRC/NHPP and DOT regulations, including receipt, storage, and disposal.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, providing emergency response when necessary.
- Maintain detailed records of radiation exposure, perform routine surveys, and assist in establishing safety protocols.
- Proficiency in venipuncture and ancillary equipment use.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot imaging systems.
- High computer literacy and understanding of multi-modality imaging parameters.
- Knowledge of radiographic techniques, quality control, and protocol development.
- Experience with radiation safety, dose calculations, and regulatory compliance.
