Role Overview: Provides practical nursing support in a cardiology outpatient clinic, delivering quality patient care under physician or mid-level practitioner supervision.
Key Responsibilities: Performs patient assessments, prepares patients for exams, assists with diagnostic procedures, administers medications and injections, maintains clinical areas, and documents patient information electronically.
Coordinates tele-dermatology and tele-retinal clinics, assists with lab and radiology procedures, and ensures safety and cleanliness standards.
Facilitates referral and pre-authorization processes, educates patients on treatments and follow-up care, and contributes to quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, current Virginia LPN licensure, BLS-HCP certification, and ideally one year of clinical experience.
Must demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, computer literacy, and customer service skills.
Knowledge of lab and radiology procedures is preferred.
Additional Requirements: Ability to perform lab testing, radiology procedures, and maintain safety protocols. Must be customer-focused, professional, and detail-oriented.
