What are the responsibilities and job description for the Indirect Lending Representative position at SeaComm Federal Credit Union?
Role:
To increase the Credit Union's portfolio of loans and other financial services initiated through relationships with auto dealers and other retail businesses capable of extending the Credit Union services to members and potential members.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain mutually beneficial relationships with all dealerships to ensure smooth processing and troubleshoot potential areas of concern regarding indirect lending channels.
- Process loans within specified limits and guidelines and refer loan applications outside those limits to the appropriate level for approval after analyzing applicant's financial status and conducting credit and collateral evaluations to determine the feasibility of granting the loan.
- Prepare and/ore review all documents for accuracy and completeness to manage member and dealer relationships and risk factors in the lending process and in document preparation. Remain organized so that overall operation is effective.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of indirect procedures and the Meridian Link and Symitar systems.
- Review the member's credit file to determine if there are additional opportunities beyond their initial request and promote the use of Credit Union services and other financial services.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
Position Type: Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Current Schedule: Monday - Thursday 8a-5p, Friday 8a-5p or 9a-6p on a rotating basis, Saturday 9a-12p on a rotating basis.
Pay Range: $17.63 - $19.63 per hour. Position also eligible for quarterly incentives and annual bonus.
Actual starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
