The Opportunity
We’re seeking a skilled, kind, and motivated Per Diem Optometrist to join our warm, collaborative team. This is a full-time, in-person position with no night or weekend hours—providing genuine work-life balance in a thriving, privately owned practice.
Prefer a four-day workweek? We’re happy to accommodate that with an adjusted compensation plan.
What You’ll Do
- Perform comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of ocular conditions
- Prescribe corrective lenses and dry eye treatments
- Collaborate with our optical and support staff to ensure a seamless patient experience

Qualifications
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program
- Active Maine optometry license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A team player committed to delivering excellent care
