What are the responsibilities and job description for the Motorcycle Sales Manager position at Seacoast Harley-Davidson?
– Lead the Ride. Drive the Business. Shape the Experience.
If you’re fueled by horsepower, high performance, and helping people find the machine that changes their life—this is your next move.
We’re looking for a Sales Manager who can lead a fast‑paced sales department, elevate customer experience, and drive strong financial results across both the sales floor and the business office. This role blends leadership, operations, coaching, and dealership‑wide influence. You’ll own the full sales ecosystem—from inventory strategy to F&I penetration to customer delivery events that create lifelong riders.
What You’ll Lead & Own
Sales Department Operations
- Oversee all new and pre‑owned vehicle sales operations with precision and profitability.
- Maintain balanced inventory, accurate history logs, and realistic forecasting.
- Train, motivate, and develop a high‑performing sales team with clear quotas aligned to skill level.
- Ensure efficient handling of trade‑ins, deliveries, warranty items, and all required paperwork.
- Keep the showroom energized—well‑lit, well‑merchandised, and customer‑ready at all times.
- Maintain clean, efficient facilities that reflect the brand and the experience.
Leadership & Management
- Set departmental schedules, policies, and performance expectations.
- Recruit, interview, hire, coach, and—when necessary—counsel or terminate employees.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and maintain accurate personnel documentation.
- Provide ongoing training through workshops, seminars, and sales schools.
- Maintain follow‑up programs, efficiency reports, and budget objectives.
- Collaborate with the GM on monthly and annual department goals.
- Communicate new programs, promotions, and F&I initiatives dealership‑wide.
Customer Experience
- Deliver a consistent, high‑quality sales process using proactive feature‑benefit selling.
- Greet customers promptly and professionally—whether in person or by phone.
- Ensure proper qualification of customer needs, wants, and buying ability.
- Guarantee consistent quoting methodology for sales, trade‑ins, and purchases.
- Make every delivery an EVENT that builds loyalty and excitement.
- Handle customer concerns with empathy, urgency, and a commitment to “Make Things Right.”
- Ensure road test, PDI, and delivery procedures are followed every time.
Promotions & Dealership Engagement
- Coordinate with Parts, Service, and other departments to maximize promotional impact.
- Support dealership culture, brand standards, and community engagement.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of progressive sales department experience in a motor vehicle dealership.
- Harley‑Davidson or powersports experience preferred—or the ability to learn fast.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable.
- Proven ability to manage inventory, forecasting, and financial performance.
- High energy, professionalism, and a passion for delivering unforgettable customer experiences.
- Ability to occasionally balance and maneuver a 900‑lb motorcycle.
- Comfort working around typical dealership environmental conditions (noise, fumes, chemicals).
Who Thrives Here
Someone who:
- Leads with integrity and fairness.
- Loves the energy of a dealership environment.
- Balances operational discipline with customer‑focused creativity.
- Wants to grow the business—and themselves.
- Shows up ready to ride, ready to lead, and ready to win.
If you’re ready to take the handlebars of a high‑impact department and help shape the future of our dealership, we want to meet you.
