JOB SUMMARY:
The Trust Review Officer is responsible for reviewing Trust documents across retail, commercial, and mortgage areas, and providing dedicated support to Trust Review, Probate & Guardianship, and the broader Trust Department. This position focuses mostly on trust document review and approval, while also serving as a resource for compliance questions and client inquiries as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Trust Review Officer is responsible for reviewing Trust documents across retail, commercial, and mortgage areas, and providing dedicated support to Trust Review, Probate & Guardianship, and the broader Trust Department. This position focuses mostly on trust document review and approval, while also serving as a resource for compliance questions and client inquiries as needed. This role requires a strong focus on quality, compliance, and timely completion of trust document reviews.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the review of Trust documents across multiple lines of business.
- Responsible for reviewing all Trusts for the following:
- Retail Account Trust Review
- Mortgage Trust Review
- Commercial Loan Trust Review and Trust legal opinions when needed
- ALOC legal opinion letters
- Probate & Guardianship support (as needed and based on any excess capacity)
- Continually supports Trust Review, Probate & Guardianship, and the Trust Department.
- Serving as a resource for compliance questions and client inquiries when needed.
- Ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency during all trust document review processes.
- Committed to a prompt SLA response.
- Responsible to correspond with all teammates Bank wide as need to provide quick approvals or feedback.
- Adhere to the highest legal and ethical standards applicable to our industry, while observing both the spirit and letter of all government regulations and laws, and bank policies and procedures.
- Adhere to Seacoast Bank’s Code of Conduct.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field required.
- JD Degree from an accredited university and an active Florida Bar license required.
- Minimum of 2 years with trust and estate document reviews (experience with personal trusts, estates, guardianships, etc.)
- Graduate of Florida Trust School, Cannon Trust School, National Trust School, or CTFA designation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrates sound professional judgment using analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven track record in building relationships across lines of business.
