Seachrome is looking for an Account Manager–someone who has a positive attitude, takes initiative, is organized and detailed, and possesses great communication skills. The ideal candidate will be expected to be a Seachrome product expert –maintaining product knowledge, technical skills and enthusiasm for the entire product line.
Job Summary:
The Account Manager operates as the face of Seachrome to our Customers and will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers and connecting with key business executives. The successful candidate will liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products according to customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers.
· Be part of the phone rotation, answering incoming calls in a timely manner.
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
· Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key customers.
· Effectively collaborate with all team members to facilitate a smooth transition for new customers from account application stage to ongoing account management.
· Proactively ensure the timely and successful delivery of our products according to customer needs and objectives.
· Manage and monitor inventory levels of key SKUs on Safety Stock, Supplier Managed Inventory, and Master Supply Agreements as directed.
· Coordinate with Production and Scheduling Teams and communicate up-to-date lead times for shipment of orders to customers.
· Forecast and track key account metrics.
· Manage quote preparation, sales order in-put and revision processing, purchase order review and processing.
· Provide customer quotes and ensure accurate pricing in a timely manner, either on the same day or within 24 hours.
· Maintain quotes in Company Quote Log as directed by Sales Manager.
· Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment.
· Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as they arise.
· Coordinate requests from Field Sales Group (Independent Reps, Distributors, Regional Managers) to ensure quick and timely responses.
· Accurate updating and maintenance of the Sage Accounting Program as directed by Supervisor.
· Additional responsibilities as assigned by Sales Manager and/or President.
Qualifications and Skills:
· HS Diploma/GED
· Associate’s Degree in Business Administration (preferred)
· 5 years of proven account management or customer service experience.
· Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
· Experience with International shipment documentation, quoting and scheduling desired.
· Experience in anticipating and delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs.
· Mechanical aptitude to read specification prints/drawings.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
· Excellent listening, negotiation, presentation project management and follow-up skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
· Demonstrate excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
· Willingness to utilize technical tools to improve sales performance.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook required.
· Ability to work well with others in an office and manufacturing shop environment, possess good work ethics, and a positive attitude.
