The Tablet Mixer is responsible for accurately blending powders, granules, and active ingredients according to established batch records, formulas, and safety standards to produce consistent and high-quality tablet mixtures. This role involves handling raw materials, operating mixing equipment, and maintaining strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and quality control requirements. Key responsibilities include tasks related to material preparation, batching, mixing operations, equipment sanitation, and documentation. Other responsibilities include:
• Gather, stage, and verify raw materials, ensuring correct identification, lot numbers, and quantities prior to mixing.
• Follow detailed batch records, master formulas, SOPs, and confidential product specifications to conduct precise mixing operations.
• Weigh, measure, and load powders, granules, and active ingredients in accordance with required tolerances and production standards.
• Operate, monitor, and adjust mixing and blending equipment, including ribbon blenders or high-shear mixers, to ensure proper functionality and output.
• Monitor blending processes to ensure uniformity, consistency, and adherence to product specifications.
• Perform in-process quality checks and collect samples as required for laboratory testing and verification.
• Maintain detailed and accurate batch documentation, including material usage, lot traceability, mixing times, and any deviations.
• Perform routine equipment cleaning, sanitation, and line clearance procedures to prevent cross-contamination between batches.
• Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure cleanliness and readiness for production.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment malfunctions or process issues to maintenance or supervision.
• Collaborate with team members and production leads to manage workflow and meet production schedules.
• Comply with all safety protocols, GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), and company procedures.
• Remain flexible and responsive to changing production demands and priorities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Work under the direction of the Mixer Team Lead to coordinate daily tasks and production goals.
