WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in inclement weather conditions during various hours of the day/night. Is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
NORMAL WORK HOURS: Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 10 hour shifts. Rotating on-call weekends required. The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and subject to change at the discretion of management.

- Maintain accurate and timely work records, and complete paperwork daily.
- General upkeep of all tools and equipment used by maintenance staff to perform work at facilities.
- Develop a collaborative relationship with all departments.
- Demonstrates knowledge of basic physical/mechanical principles and craft math
- General upkeep of all tools and equipment used by staff.
- Proficient in General work involving hand tools, power tools, and torquing equipment.
- Participate in reliability programs, predictive maintenance programs, and Management of Change processes.
- Basic understanding of the characteristics of metals and knowledge about the various types and applications of lubricants.
- Understand bearings, seals, compressors, pumps, pipe configurations, shaft packing, and drive systems.
- Must be able to interpret P&IDS, drawings, schematics, cut sheets, pump, and blower curves.
- Coupling Alignment- laser or dial measurement
- Couplers- shim pack, jaw type, elastomeric, etc.
- Pumps ANSI /API – centrifugal, diaphragm, positive displacement
- Valves- gate, globe, ball, butterfly, etc.
- Gearboxes
- Fans & Blowers – Centrifugal, Lobe, etc.
- Seals- Labyrinth, Lip, Mechanical, Rope Packing, etc.
- Precision measurement tools
- Crane and Hoist operation – pneumatic, electric
- Coolers – tube & shell, plate frame, fin fan, etc.
- Agitators & Mixers – shear, prop, shaker, etc
- A strong background in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of various rotating equipment.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and work orders in English.
- Basic computer skills.
