What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Clerk position at Seaboard Energy?
SUMMARY: The Logistics Clerk is responsible for entering orders, monitoring inventories, and resolving accounting issues for the biodiesel plant. Assist corporate sales and procurement by maintaining shipment schedules. Responsibilities may include other data entry, research, and accounting duties associated with the above facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned at management’s discretion.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work environment consists of office, plant production, and outside climate conditions. Work is often conducted in outdoor environments and variable weather conditions, with exposure to elements such as heat, cold, and moisture. Adequate visual acuity for reading and monitoring equipment, as well as effective communication skills for verbal and written interactions, are essential. Noise level varies within the production area.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday. The working hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. Occasional changes in schedule may be required as special circumstances arise.

- Enter AS400 orders for biodiesel and co-products.
- Enter and ship orders for rail in Right Angle
- Create weekly receiving and shipping schedules for the biodiesel plant.
- Monitor shipment and deliveries of all products.
- Communicate directly with truck dispatchers on all products.
- Transportation related invoicing
- Audit local shipping documents for regulatory compliance.
- Works closely with customers and suppliers to ensure delivery and receipts on time.
- Balance biodiesel meters daily
- File contracts and other pertinent contracts information.
- Monitor proper application of feedstock deliveries.
- Collect and report historical feedstock data.
- Update daily production report.
- High School diploma or GED required. Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have a basic understanding of supply chain management.
- Ability to read and write effective reports, spreadsheets and business correspondence using standard Microsoft Office products.
- Oral presentation skills must be effective with all levels of management.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
