Duties

  • Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive site safety plans aligned with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), NEC (National Electrical Code), ANSI (American National Standards Institute), NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), and other relevant construction safety standards.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the construction site to identify hazards related to electrical safety procedures, occupational health risks, and general workplace safety regulations.
  • Lead safety orientation sessions and ongoing training programs for all personnel, including workers, supervisors, and subcontractors, emphasizing hazard recognition, emergency response procedures, and compliance management.
  • Oversee incident investigations by documenting accidents or near-misses thoroughly; analyze root causes related to construction workplace safety regulations; implement corrective actions promptly.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), enforce adherence to OSHA standards, and verify that all workers are trained in first aid and CPR.
  • Manage documentation related to workers' compensation claims, safety reports, compliance records, and risk management strategies using construction management software tools.
  • Collaborate closely with construction management teams to integrate EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) best practices into daily operations while maintaining strict adherence to ANSI standards and NFPA codes for electrical and fire safety.

Experience

  • Proven experience in construction site safety management with a strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of risk management principles within a construction environment; ability to identify hazards proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prior experience conducting safety training sessions and implementing effective safety training programs tailored for diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with construction management software for tracking compliance activities, incident reports, and safety documentation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence positive safety behaviors among team members; excellent communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
  • Construction experience involving electrical systems is highly desirable; familiarity with NEC standards is essential.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH or OSHA 30-Hour/500-Hour Training are preferred; First aid and CPR certification is required.

Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
