Warehouse Department Supervisor
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse Department Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a designated area of our warehouse. This role involves managing workflows, developing staff, and ensuring that departmental strategies align with overall SEA warehouse goals—both current and long-term.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure smooth product flow in accordance with lead times established by the Warehouse Manager.
Identify and recommend upgrades or redesigns in equipment that enhance product quality, safety, and operational efficiency while minimizing waste.
Maintain inventory of basic replacement items, including pots, fuses, switches, common motors, circuit boards, and heating elements.
Oversee the physical condition of the department by planning layouts, supervising equipment inspections, and implementing improvements as needed.
Support staffing needs by participating in recruitment, selection, and employee training.
Coach, mentor, and evaluate team members to help them meet daily performance objectives.
Contribute to broader warehouse goals by achieving departmental metrics and operational targets.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Familiarity with ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications is a plus.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to stand for extended periods.
Regular use of tools and warehouse equipment required.
Must have full range of vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
