General Description of Work
The Sea Pines Country Club Event Setup Associate is responsible for preparing, arranging, and dismantling event spaces for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, corporate events, and other special functions. This role ensures all venues are set up according to event specifications while maintaining safety, cleanliness, and excellent customer service.
Essential Functions

- Set up and arrange tables, chairs, stages, podiums, dance floors, and other event equipment according to event layouts.
- Install and remove décor, signage, linens, audiovisual equipment, and other event materials.
- Review event orders and floor plans to ensure accurate room configurations.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting event equipment and supplies.
- Monitor event spaces before, during, and after events to ensure guest satisfaction and safety.
- Perform event breakdown and restore venues to standard configurations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas and event spaces.
- Inspect equipment for damage and report maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow all company safety procedures and lifting guidelines.
- Collaborate with event coordinators, facility staff, and vendors to ensure successful event execution.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in event setup, hospitality, facilities, or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret room diagrams, floor plans, and setup instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
