Position Overview
Sea Pac Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and manage federal construction projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for overall project execution, including planning, coordination, contract compliance, schedule management, cost control, and communication with government clients.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing federal construction projects and a strong understanding of federal contracting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of federal construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout
- Serve as the primary point of contact with government contracting officers, CORs, and stakeholders
- Review and administer prime contracts and subcontracts
- Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets, and cost control measures
- Coordinate with Superintendents, Quality Control Managers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with federal contract requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards
- Monitor project progress, schedule milestones, and financial performance
- Lead project meetings and provide regular progress reports to management and clients
- Manage subcontractor procurement, scope coordination, and performance
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of project management experience in construction
- Federal construction project experience required (NAVFAC, USACE, GSA, DoD, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of federal contracting procedures and documentation
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and project teams
- Ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and cost control
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build federal projects
- Familiarity with RFI, submittal, change order, and claims processes
- Experience working on military bases or secured federal facilities
