What are the responsibilities and job description for the Candle Technician (Entry Level) position at SEA, Ltd.?
SEA, Ltd. is hiring for our Candle Testing Lab! This is a temporary to permanent role with full-time hours (4 days per week, 10 hours per day). The ideal candidates for these roles will enjoy working on their feet and will understand that this is a high fragrance environment. Pay is $19/hr.
Please note that the hours for this opportunity are as follows:
Weds-Sat: 3:30 p.m.-1:30 a.m.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Un-boxes, weighs and logs of product test samples as they arrive
- Performs sample setup in testing lab
- Tests, observes and documents test samples in accordance with required protocols
- Performs general housekeeping in the lab (cleaning wax off testing shelves and floor, cleaning HVAC filters, replacement of burn surfaces)
- Analyzes soot collection targets
- Conducts flash-point testing
- Photographs test samples
- Catalogs, stores and disposes of test samples
Position Requirements:
- Strong organizational, observation, written and verbal communication, and multi-tasking skills
- Basic knowledge of Excel and Access
- High school diploma
** This will be an in-laboratory opportunity (not remote)**
*MUST be able to handle strong and continuous fragrances*
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to climb a ladder
- Ability to stand for 4 hours per day
- Ability to handle exposure to high fragrance odors
