What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Sea Level Oyster Bar?
We are looking for an upbeat, energetic Server to take & deliver orders. You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible to provide proper service to improve our guests’ experiences. Server responsibilities include ensuring our tables are clean and tidy when guests arrive, presenting menus, checking for allergies prior to serving food and beverages. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a genuine love for hospitality. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract guests.
2 years of serving experience at a high volume restaurant is required for this position.
TIPS certification is preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attend to guests upon entrance
- Present restaurant menus and help guests select food & beverage choices
- Take and serve orders
- Ringing up orders using Toast POS
- Answer questions and make recommendations for our menu
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff and maintain teamwork ethics
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Issue bills and accept payment
Skills Required
- Proven restaurant serving experience preferred
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties
- Knowledge in the food industry
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
