- Assist with meal preparation and cooking, following established recipes and safety standards
- Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and maintaining cleanliness
- Support menu planning efforts by preparing ingredients and assisting with daily kitchen operations
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to guests or clients in a timely manner
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness by cleaning utensils, equipment, workstations, and storage areas regularly
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and inventory levels are monitored for freshness and safety
- Use knife skills proficiently for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other prep tasks to ensure quality presentation
- Contribute to catering events by preparing large quantities of food while adhering to safety regulations
- Follow all health department guidelines related to food safety and sanitation standards
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with excellent knife skills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions accurately
- Kitchen experience including serving or supporting culinary operations is an advantage
