Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages such as coffee, tea, and specialty drinks following established recipes and standards.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, answering questions about menu items, and providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including proper food handling and beverage preparation practices.
- Ensure timely beverage service while managing multiple orders during busy hours.
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, including processing payments and giving correct change.
- Follow food safety guidelines and health regulations to ensure a safe environment for both staff and guests.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
- Experience in beverage preparation, especially coffee or café environments, is highly desirable.
- Good time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper cleaning procedures within a food service setting.
