As a Solar Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, uninstalls/reinstalls and repairing solar power systems to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on solar energy systems to identify and resolve any issues promptly.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system malfunctions, both remotely and on-site, utilizing technical knowledge and diagnostic tools.
- Collaborate with the installation team to ensure that new solar installations meet quality and performance standards.
- Conduct regular performance assessments to monitor system output and efficiency, making necessary adjustments when needed.
- Take notes for corrections and notify the office of any issues or updates
- Communicate with the Homeowner once on site regarding scope of work and status of Inspection.
- Document all service and maintenance activities accurately, maintaining clear and organized records.
- Interface with customers in a professional and friendly manner, explaining maintenance procedures and addressing their questions or concerns.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in solar energy systems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical, solar, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in solar panel installation, maintenance, or related work 4 years required
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Familiarity with solar inverters, monitoring systems, and associated technologies.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, effectively communicating technical information.
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work on rooftops, and carry equipment (with appropriate safety measures).
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to lift 50 pounds of weight frequently throughout assigned workday
- Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces, etc.)
- Valid state driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have a clean driving record
