Job Overview

Sea and Sun Boat Rentals is looking for a reliable, hardworking Dock Hand to join our team on Fort Myers Beach. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, around boats, and interacting with customers in a fast-paced marina environment.

The Dock Hand plays an important role in helping customers safely launch and return rental boats while maintaining a clean, organized, and professional dock operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with boarding, docking, and departing rental boats safely
• Provide basic safety instructions and orientation before rentals
• Help clean, inspect, and prepare boats between rentals
• Maintain cleanliness of docks, boats, and marina areas
• Tie off and secure vessels properly
• Assist with loading/unloading gear and supplies
• Monitor weather and water conditions as directed
• Deliver excellent customer service to guests and visitors
• Support marina staff with daily operations and general upkeep

Requirements

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Comfortable working outdoors in heat and varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and remain active throughout shifts
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Boating experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of local waterways is a plus
• Must be dependable and punctual

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous marina, dock, boating, or hospitality experience
• Experience handling boats or personal watercraft
• Florida boating safety knowledge/certification is a plus
