Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Support the cooking team by maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment. Help with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours. Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures in accordance with food safety standards. Participate in food handling tasks such as portioning ingredients and preparing basic dishes under supervision. Assist with catering events or special functions by preparing ingredients or serving food as needed. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment by adhering to health regulations and cleaning schedules.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with cooking techniques, knife skills, and basic food preparation is advantageous. Experience working in the food industry or catering settings will help you excel in this role. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is beneficial.
