About SDV
At our core, we are veterans supporting our fellow veterans. Our mission is more than just words — it's a way of life rooted in service, discipline, and commitment to something bigger than yourself. Here at SDV, we are building something that matters: a purpose-driven team where the values carried in uniform — integrity, adaptability, and mission focus — are not just welcomed, they are the foundation of everything we do.
If you've spent time in service, you already know what it means to lead under pressure, solve problems with limited resources, and put the mission first. That experience has value here. We also welcome all those who, while they may not have served, are deeply committed to supporting the veteran community and want to contribute to work that truly makes a difference.
At SDV, you will be welcomed by leadership that respects your background, invests in your continued growth, and never loses sight of why we do what we do: to serve those who've served.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a hands-on IT Manager who brings the same adaptability and initiative they developed in service (or in supporting those who served) to our technology operations. You'll balance strategic systems management with day-to-day IT support — wearing multiple hats, just like you did before.
In this role, you will be responsible for keeping SDV's technology running smoothly — serving as the go-to resource for day-to-day technical support, the primary NetSuite administrator, and the key liaison between SDV and its IT contractors and vendors. One day you might be configuring NetSuite workflows; the next, troubleshooting hardware or tightening up cybersecurity protocols. This environment rewards people who thrive in dynamic settings, communicate clearly up and down the chain, and take ownership of their mission.
What you’ll Do
- Serve as the primary point of contact and owner for all IT-related matters across the organization
- Oversee all technology used by SDV: hardware, infrastructure, cloud services, and software applications
- Serve as the primary NetSuite administrator for day-to-day operations, partnering with external consultants on larger implementation and optimization projects as needed.
- Provide hands-on support for day-to-day IT needs: helpdesk, hardware setup, user accounts, software management, and troubleshooting
- Support local and remote employees — investigate problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships related to hardware, software, and IT services
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory of all installed and spare hardware and software
- Analyze functional requirements across business units to identify and deliver technology solutions that support efficient operations
- Identify needs for upgrades, new configurations, or new systems and applications
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with applicable industry regulations and standards
- Oversee cybersecurity protocols, user access controls, data backups, and system updates
- Deliver IT projects on specification, on time, and within budget
- Develop and document IT policies and procedures to drive organizational consistency
Skills & Experience
- Outstanding communication skills — able to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational discipline
- Strong analytical thinking and project management skills — you can build a plan and execute it
- Proven ability to work independently and manage competing priorities without losing sight of the mission
- 6 years of broad IT experience, with exposure to both technical support and systems administration
- Comfortable serving as a generalist IT resource — helpdesk, hardware, user accounts, and beyond
- Familiarity with evaluating and supporting a variety of IT systems, software, and cloud-based tools
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or eCommerce platforms a plus (NetSuite, Salesforce, Shopify, or Microsoft Dynamics)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field; Master's degree a plus
- Military training or occupational experience in communications, IT, signals, or cyber is considered directly relevant experience
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
