Duties

• Safely climb trees using specialized climbing gear and rigging techniques to access difficult or hazardous areas.
• Operate chainsaws and other arborist tools with precision to prune, trim, or remove trees as needed.
• Implement arborist rigging techniques for controlled tree removal or branch lowering to prevent damage or injury.
• Use bucket trucks and other equipment such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for precise location mapping and planning.
• Conduct plant pruning care, tree trimming, and overall tree care to promote health and growth.
• Assist with land clearing projects including tree removal and landscape maintenance tasks like lawn care and gardening.
• Follow strict safety protocols at all times, including proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use, hazard assessment, and emergency procedures.

Experience

• Proven outdoor work experience in arboriculture, landscaping, or horticulture environments.
• Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping and planning purposes.
• Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks for elevated work tasks.
• Knowledge of arborist rigging techniques, tree removal procedures, and safety standards.
• Strong understanding of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, dendrology (study of trees), and plant health management.
• Experience with chainsaw operation in a professional setting is essential.
• Growing experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or related horticultural fields is a plus.
