Position Summary:
Perform all laboratory test, analyses, and procedures in a prompt, accurate, and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Experience:
Six months experience in a hospital-based lab preferred.
Education:
Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry or related science, or have passed the HEW exam to qualify for Medical Technologist.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Certifications:
- Knowledge of testing principles related to routine testing. Ability to work independently and multitask.
- Knowledge of specimen handling, collection techniques, and general lab workflow. Basic computer skills.
- National certification from ASCP, AMT, NCA.
