The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is looking for a motivated individual to fill an Accountant position in Rapid City, SD. This position will work with the university and state accounting systems, performing daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes and assisting all university departments with financial transactions and questions. Duties include entering journal entries; interaction with multiple, complex, automated systems; performing calculations; extracting accounting systems data; responsible for a variety of reconciliations, non-student accounts receivable, and other general accounting duties.The successful candidate should have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles; governmental accounting; and experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software programs. Should have ability to communicate information clearly and concisely; work within a team environment; learn and understand complex financial systems; pay close attention to details and provide excellent customer service.
