What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Consultant position at Scudder Solar Energy Systems?
Summary
This is a Full-Time, Commission-based position responsible for the sale of roofing and solar projects within the Sales Department of Scudder Roofing and Scudder Solar. Sales consultants are a key member of the sales team and are responsible for meeting their own sales targets and other goals as put forth by the Sales Manager and Sales Department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service by following up with potential clients and ensuring a seamless sales process.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Self-generate leads through networking, referrals, and community engagement.
- Utilize company-provided leads and marketing resources to identify and pursue sales opportunities.
- Manage calendar effectively, setting and keeping appointments.
- Ensure follow-through on all sales activities, from initial contact to closing the sale.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure sold projects are accurately passed down and executed timely.
- Create clear, concise, and professional contracts, proposals, and emails.
- Ensure all written communications are error-free and accurately reflect the company’s standards and client agreements.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with sales techniques and product knowledge including weekly Sales Meetings, CCN Sales Bootcamp, trade shows, etc.
- Read and comprehend project workups and completed job reports.
- Ensure all project details are accurately conveyed to clients and internal teams.
- Responsible for the accurate reporting of weekly sales figures, leads, measure calls, and other electronic paperwork to ensure that sales department figures are accurate, and all sales are captured.
Other Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication with the Owners, co-workers, contractors, clients, affiliates, vendors, and all other business contacts.
- Uses equipment and materials in a safe and acceptable manner, follows established safety procedures, uses appropriate safeguards, and observes common sense rules of safety in all on-the-job activities.
- Conducts self in manner reflecting credit on the Company and encouraging others to do the same.
- May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- At least 1-year prior experience in sales a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have Valid California Driver's License
