Scuba Sams Canine Hydrotherapy Llc in Wylie, TX is looking for a veterinary technician who would like to complete intensive training over a period of 6 - 8 months to become a canine hydrotherapist at our growing center. We are currently located on 1001 Alanis Drive Suite 220. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.

Responsibilities
- The ideal candidate will take part in an intensive training program to become a canine hydrotherapist.
- A level of study outside of work will be required, the coursework will be provided and assignments set.
- Ensure the smooth running of the practice, assisting with patient check-ins
- General duties to include; answering the phone, answering email enquiries, booking and scheduling appointments, taking payments, working as a team with the hydrotherapy assistants in keeping the center clean and providing direction when needed.
- Learn how to take treatment notes
- Assist with hydrotherapy treatments and eventually be able to carry out a therapy session on your own
- Learn how to create a relevant treatment plan
- Help with the lifting of dogs when needed - must be able to lift 45lbs on their own. If you have any back issues this job is not for you.
- Engage with clients and have good customer rapport
- Liaise and communicate with the primary veterinarians regarding patient progress.
- The candidate will also have to treat patients using the laser or shockwave therapy modalities in which training will be provided.
Qualifications
- Licensed Veterinary Technician or previous license held
- Or 3 years experience working as a Vet Tech/in a vet tech role
